People who have GC are "worried" about getting citizenship :). People who just came in, are worried about they PERM/140 approvals.

AILF is ready to take the cause up, then why not ? Fragmon & Rajiv Khanna are just two opinions. I think the Congresswoman who spoke out on this issue used to be an immigration lawyer prior to taking up public office & she mentions in her letters to DHS that this may be a potential violation of the law.

Each IO has given me different info on different calls. Whatever they say about visa number cannot be considered true. Just say ok and move on or call back to get a different answer.

My Receipt and Notice date is July 03, 2008, however there was a soft LUD on my case on July 08, 2008. And again another LUD on August 14, 2008 which is the approval.

Is July 08, 2008 also the Notice Date on your receipt notice? I'm wondering if generally there is one more LUD after the notice date and before the approval, when they pull the file off the shelf and start working on the case.
for me no LUD after notice date.

funny thing, this SunnySurya guy happens to be from a small consulting company with 8 people out of which everyone got audited and at one point he says he does not know if his application is Eb3 or Eb2 and he is trying to figure it out.
Then he comes with filing a lawsuit against porting from EB3 to EB2

Instead lets maybe assign a florist, we pay through google pay have them deliver the flowers too Dc or Obama administration for living up to their promises and how USCIS is promoting racism. Obama just came out with the article on how education is important and how unemployed people should consider going to college and state departments should offer help.
We should question in our conquest, is this what president is referring too? Is this what this nation wants?

BTW, for that poster who was imagining a single line, open your eyes buddy. There are indeed two lines. Higher qualifications gets you into the shorter one. You can fret and whine all you want but you cant change the fact.
Porting PDs is a silly concept as others have pointed it out here. Its the law for now but wont be for long. Get over it.

Can someone with a paypal account come forward and take over a fund? Anyone with a paypal account can donate any amount using a nickname and we can publish the nickname along with the amount donated on this thread. That way we have accountability and also have a better idea of how many flowers we can send. That person with the paypal account can then order the flowers on Saturday by the latest.
Others, if they want, can send the flowers on their own also.

IOs at TSC are responding to the enquiry of your case i.e they give info about name check status.
But in NSC the IOs are not giving any information, they are just saying they can't tell anything.This happened to me two times since last week.Does any one got same experience with NSC?

On the one side you have the EB2. Earning more, and better educated. Clearly more important human beings to IRS and society. On the other we have EB3 Junta trying to get what they think is their right to spillover.
Now I understand all your points and agree with all of them.
Only 1 question :D why is IV not fighting to increase the regular (non spillover) quota for the clearly better category EB2. This is clearly not fair such super humans having to share same numbers as lower categories. Lower categories should go to Bombay where there is one apartment which is still empty.
Or better still get rid of the EB3 category altogether. Problem is solved! :D

I think the above statement is correct. There are 1000s of EB3 I folks in IV and they could have very well contributed a quarter or even a million bucks. My question is, what will happen after that?

I am not sure what SOL stands for.
But I can assure you that EB-3 ROW has very little hope. My estimate was that EB3-ROW's wait times were around 5-6 years.
But now, I have a feeling, that its going to be more like 10+ years. And 10+ years is a long time. Some sort of reform will happen in the next five or six years, and even that reform is not likely to get us greencards, since it may emphasize the family-based applicants.

Others are theoritically in the admin process, though it would take a long time to complete. Technically visa was available for everyone in July'07,that's why all could file as it is a legal requirement for I-485 filing. Now they are just waiting to have the admin process completed.

Make and take some big posters (small with BOLD letters would help) with you...just the gathering wont help that much unless we have some big poster in hands. This would help if we are pictured by media.

So if USCIS takes an year to process my extension, what are the impacts to me after the current H-1B expires? Would I have issues in traveling?
While your H1 is in pending state and you go out of the country, USCIS would consider it as 'abandoned'.
